Shipping Your Collection

Most clients ship their materials to us rather than visiting in person. We accept packages via Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, and Purolator. When preparing your shipment:

  • Use sturdy boxes with adequate padding
  • Wrap photographs individually or in small groups
  • Mark film reels and tapes with identifying information
  • Include a packing list with your contact details
  • Consider insurance for valuable items

Upon receipt, we immediately catalogue your materials and send confirmation. You will receive a detailed inventory before any work begins, allowing you to review and approve our preservation plan.

Local Pickup Available

For clients in the Greater Toronto Area, we offer pickup service for large collections. This eliminates shipping concerns and allows us to assess your materials before they leave your home. Pickup appointments are available Tuesday through Friday.

We also welcome visitors to our facility by appointment. If you prefer to drop off materials in person, contact us to schedule a time. Our archivists can provide an initial assessment and answer questions about your specific collection.

Request a Consultation

The services described on this website are professional digitization and archival services. Results depend on the condition of original materials provided. This information does not constitute professional archival consultation, and we recommend consulting with certified archivists for historically significant collections. Individual outcomes vary based on material condition, age, and storage history.
