When you submit materials for digitization, you represent that you have the legal right to authorize the scanning and digital reproduction of those materials. moss-badger handles all materials with professional care but is not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration.

Digitization results depend on the condition and quality of original materials. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes for damaged, faded, or deteriorated items. We will inform you of any significant quality concerns before proceeding with work.
Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to volume, material condition, or other factors. We will communicate any significant delays as soon as they become apparent.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made. We accept major credit cards and electronic payment methods. Outstanding balances may incur service charges and materials may be held until payment is received.
Intellectual Property
The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of moss-badger and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You retain all ownership rights to materials you submit for digitization and the resulting digital files. We do not claim any ownership interest in your content.
Limitation of Liability
While we take extensive precautions to protect materials in our care, our liability is limited to the replacement value of materials as declared by you, up to a maximum of $500 CAD per item unless additional insurance coverage has been arranged. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or deterioration
- Loss or damage during shipping (carrier liability applies)
- Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
- Loss of use, data, or profits
Insurance
Materials in our facility are covered by our business insurance policy. For high-value items, we recommend arranging additional insurance coverage. Please contact us to discuss insurance options for valuable collections.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold moss-badger harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our website or services, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
